Obituary of Loraine Battle Spence as written on page12 of "The Camilla 
Enterprise" dated 10 Nov 1960.  Camilla, Georgia.   
Mr. and Mrs. Clem R. Battle, of Camilla, were joined by their children, Mr. and 
Mrs. Royce Middleton of Albany, and Cleo Rogers of Camilla, in going down to 
Jacksonville, Fla. last weekend to attend the funeral services ofr Mr. Battle's 
sister, Mrs. Carswell Spence, held in Jacksonville Saturday morning.  Mrs. 
Spence and her husband, who passed away about four years ago, were former 
residents of Mitchell County, living about four miles of Camilla.  Mrs. 
Spence's death came last week at Bailey's Convalescent Home where she resided 
at the time.  Survivors include besides her brother, Mr. Battle, two sons, Earl 
of Tampa, Fla. and George of Gainesville, Fla.; brothers, James Emory Battle of 
Miami, Fla.. Col. Clifford G. Battle of Atlanta, James Lester Battle and Mrs. 
John Moore of Jacksonville.
