Camilla, Georgia. Mrs. Annie Pearl Threatt, 69, of Prattville, Alabama, and sister of Sheriff John M. Maples, of Camilla, passed away July 7th, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held July 8th, from the Griffin-Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel, in Prattville, at 4:30 P. M. with the Rev. Charles Landers and the Rev. J. B. Burt officiating. Burial was in the Prattville Memory Garden Cemetery with Griffin-Brown Service directing. Mrs. Threatt was the former Miss Annie Pearl Maples, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Israel Maples, pioneer settlers of this county. She was born at Cotton, Ga. Survivors include her husband, L. A. Threatt; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Ruffin of Wetumpka, Ala., Mrs. Less Norman of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Paul E. Spangler of Montgomery, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Barfield of Macon, Ga. and Mrs. C. E. McSwain of Beaumont, Texas; three brothers, John M. Maples and Albert Maples of Camilla and Carl Maples of Tallahassee, Fla.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
