He would have been eighteen years old at 6:00 P. M. Wednesday afternoon of this week, the hour funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Pelham. The Rev. T. M. Underwood, Jr., pastor, officiated and interment followed in Pelham Cemetery with full military honors at the graveside. Friends serving as pallbearers included Bernard Brim, Jerry Edwards, Mack Blanchard, Johnny Hinson, Maitand Yates, Jr., Ronnie Morrell, Hollis Sanders, Jr., and Larry Williams. Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham was in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his parents, his mother a member of the Cotton Elementary School faculty and his father employed at Yates Motor Company in Pelham; two sisters, Mrs. Jackie Ferrell of Pelham, and Mrs. Gerald Meade of Chicago, Illinois; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Dollie Griner; and a number of relatives who are left to mourn his passing.
