The following Children were born to David EVANS and
Mary his wife, who were married this 15th? April 1766
at Saint Martin's Church in the Strand, London.

Elizabeth Martha Sophia born 28th March 1767 at Mr. Wm. READS Charles Street.

David Read EVANS…20th Febry 1769 Cawley Street West Minister.

Mary………….. 1st March 1771 at the Beehive Compton Street ----.

Emely…………… 20th April 1772 born at Do. "

William…………. 3rd May 1773 at Do. ".

Joseph………….15th June 1776 at Do. And all Christined by the Rev.d Dr. KIPPIS, Long Ditch, Westm'r.

David Read EVANS died at Winnsborough in the State of South Carolina on 8th March 1843.

Mary Evans WINN died in Monroe County in the State of Georgia-September 15th 1856 aged 85 years six months and 22 days.

Note: e-mail from Westminister Abbey-7 Nov. 2003
Long Ditch (also at one time called Princes St.) is
a street in Westminister, just over the road from
Westminister Abbey. The Clergyman was Revd. Andrew
KIPPIS, D.D. (1725-95) He was a pastor of a
Presbyterian congregation meeting in this street. So
I presume the baptisms would have taken place at
this meeting house.
