Rhodes, will be interesting to those who know of the people named therein and anyone interested in the Bible mentioned is requested to communicate with Mr. Stiles Martin of the Constitution: Mr. Rhodes: There was brought to the Constitution office recently a Bible which contains the names of Eli Hugh Walker of Forsyth and states he was married April 1827 to Maria Ventreperre. Also E.H. Walker and Selma S. Hill, married April 1872. It contains names of several members of Walker family also Chappel families. The Bible was printed in 1829 and we think maybe it was a family heirloom. If members of the family are living there now and you will write us their names we shall be please to advise them about the Bible. Thanks. Yours very truly, Stile Martin The Constitution NOTES: E. H. Walker, Maria and Selina Walker are part of the Thomas Walker family and are buried in the Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery, Colvin Road, Monroe County, Georgia and are listed in the cemetery recording in the 1979 History of Monroe County, Ga.
