Colburn acolburn@tyler.net ENOS RUSSELL FLEWELLEN Enos Russell Flewellen was born 13 May 1810, probably in Warren County, Ga. He married Susan Wood Jones on 15 Oct 1829 in Warren?/? Upson County, Ga. One of his sons, Enos Archelaus Flewellen, died 6 Mar 1835 and was buried in the Culloden Cemetery in Monroe County. The parents of Enos Russell Flewellen were Archelaus Flewellen and Nancy Pace. Enos R. served as Captain of a company raised from Monroe County in the Indian Wars. Flewellen was executing deeds in Barbour Co, Alabama and appears on the 1850 census there. He died 1 Sep 1884 in Russell County, Ala, but is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee Co, Ga. Have numerous letters from Enos Russell Flewellen to his brother, Thomas Flewellen. Have account of family history written by Mary Josephine Alexander Flewellen, daughter-in-law. Obit says he lived at Spring Hill, Barbour Co. & died at home of daughter, Mrs. Georgia Mitchell, in Russell Co., survivors are 5 children. Archie L.
