Thomas M. Harrup/Harp was born ca. 1762 in Brunswick County, Virginia and 
died January 1855 in Monroe County, Georgia.

He married Sarah Martin, daughter of James Martin of Columbia County, GA, on 
October 16, 1793 or October 16, 1799 (both years are listed under Martin & 
under Harrup) in the Index to Marriage Bonds in Columbia County, GA.

They had at least 12 children:

The following information was compiled by Vivian Williams Zaruba of Virginia. 
She believed that Thomas M. Harrup was a son of William and Elizabeth Manning 
Harrup.

William Harrup was born ca. 1715 in VA and died Sept. 1777 in PA. He married 
Elizabeth Manning and their children were: 

1. Samuel Harrup
born ca. 1751 in VA
died Oct. 1777 in Germantown, PA
military service: Private, Company H, 4th Virginia
Regiment - Enlisted 13 March 1776

2. Arthur Harrup
born ca. 1753 in VA
married Phoebe Moreland on Sept. 1, 1789, 
Lincoln Co. NC
died 1836 in Jones Co., GA
military service: Private, Company "H", 1st Virginia
Regiment - Enlisted 6 August 1776 - Was
promoted to rank of Corporal by Oct. 1778 -
Was promoted to rank of Sergeant by Feb. 1779 -
Discharged 1 Aug. 1779

3. Jonathan Harrup

4. Mills Harrup
