Notes for John TIMMONS
1789, John Timmons was born in South Carolina, exact
location unknown.

1820, He married Temperance Stafford in South Carolina & his
first son Isaac Timmons was born, he was 31. He had two
other children in South Carolina:Daniel BG. & Eliza J.

1830, He moved to Georgia, exact location Unknown, with him
was his 3 children Isaac, Daniel BG & Eliza Jane, he was 41.
He had five more children in Georgia: Jesse J., Mary E.,
Elizabeth, William RM., Sarah F. 1845, He moved to Tippah
County, Mississippi, he was 56.

1859, He died in Tippah County, Mississippi, he was 70, the
exact date & location of his death is assumed as no record
has been found.

The 1850 TIPPAH COUNTY, MS census listed:
#492 Isaac Timmons 28, Jane 37, & Andrew 6 months.
#493 Daniel Timmons 23, Mary A. 21, Benj 1.
#494 John Timmons 61, Temperance 47, Eliza J 20,  Jesse J 18, Mary E 15, Elizabeth 13, William  RN 8, Sarah 6. (This is the last known record of John & Temperance.)

The 1860 TIPPAH COUNTY, MS census listed:
#95 Wm Timmons 19, Eliza 29, Sarah 15 , Wm 7.
(Sarah 15 is the sister of Eliza, she stayed with her til she was 21 then married William Henry Lancaster)

The 1870 TIPPAH COUNTY, MS census listed:
1. Isaac Timmons 50, Jane 48, Rebecca 24, Silas 14.(What happened to Andrew 20)
2.Wm Timmons 30, Mahala 21, Jno A 1,  Margaret R 7, Wm 18 (Wm 18 listed as  
works on farm).

The 1870 MINE CREEK, HEMPSTEAD COUNTY ,AR census listed:
Household # 69- DBG Timmons 39, Mary 35 (This would have been #2 Mary Chandler not #1 Mary Ford) (by Mary Ford)=John 15,  (by Mary Chandler)=P.E. 14, Julie 12, Sallie 10, Rebca 7, J.R. 3.
Household # 70- Ben Timmons 24, Pauline 20, no children (Listing was next on list-next door?) (The 1850 Tippah census shows Benjamin Curlee born in 1849, this Ben shows born 1846, could be a cousin ???) ( could have been Benjamin Curlee with the wrong age stated, in which case Pauline woud have been a first wife??? It is not known if BC had more than 1 wife Laura Delinda Green???)

The 1900 TIPPAH COUNTY, MS census listed:
W. H. Timmons 48, Mandy 18, Will 3, Eliza J 70, widow. (Listed Will as adopted. Was he the son of Mandy but not W. H.).
