Hwy. 18, about 4.8 miles from the intersection at Ga. Hwy, 148. This cemetery was visited and surveyed by Jean S. & Thomas Slade Willingham On March 25, 1961. Willis Callaway Son of Edward & Elizabeth Callaway July 20, 1814 Sept. 25, 1836 Elizabeth Callaway Wife of Edward Callaway April 4, 1782 Aug. 9, 1854 ADDITIONAL NOTES: Lucy Gray" According to MONROE COUNTY, GEORGIA A HISTORY by Monroe County Historical Society 1979 the Callaway Cemetery is about 6 miles from Forsyth on the right side of Highway 18 going towards Dames Ferry. I was told this was the old Edward Callaway plantation. It is on a rather high point of land about 10 to 20 feet off the highway.
