This cemetery is in Monroe County adjoining Salem Methodist Church. The church was founded on May 15, 1826. This survey was personally conducted by Jean Willingham and Thomas Slade Willingham on March 25, 1961. No regular services are held there now but a homecoming is held on the 4th Sunday in July each year. There is a large cemetery there with many old graves - Anderson Redding, Myles Greene, Thaddeus Cicero Pritchett, Laura Turk Pritchett, Waltons, Bealls, many family names. The cemetery is listed in the Monroe County History printed in 1979 Salem Methodist Church in Monroe Co. it off of a GA HWY 87 on the left just before the Rum Creek bridge. Aug 1897 Monroe Advertiser In Memoria On the 29th ult at 1:30pm of typhoid fever, Jesse Lee Fuller passed peacefully away. He was 27 years of age; was born and reared near his final resting place at the old Salem Church 4 miles west of Pope's Ferry. ====================== Buried in the church cemetery are the following families (just to mention a few), located on Pea Ridge Road (Est.
