1870 MONROE COUNTY, GEORGIA CENSUS
Mr. Isaac W. Ensign was the enumerator for all districts.  The census was started June 1,
1870 and completed August 23, 1870.
Districts are as follows:
EVERS DISTRICT               Pages 121A - 130A
FORSYTH DISTRICT             Pages 85A - 103B
JOHNSTONS DISTRICT           Pages 104A - 120A
Unknown Townships            Pages 131A - 302B

This is a partial transcription.  Columns not included in the transcription:
# 11 - Place of Birth of Father of foreign Born
# 12 - Place of Birth of Mother of foreign Born
(note:  Although there are 'foreign born' citizens on the census, no entires were made by
the enumerator in these columns)
# 13 - If born within the last year, state month.
# 14 - If married within the year, state month.
# 15 - Attended school within the year
# 16 - Cannot Read
# 17 - Cannot Write
# 18 - Whether deaf & dumb, blind, insane, idiotic, pauper, or convict
Constitutional Relations:
# 19 - Male citizens of US of 21 years of age and upwards
# 20 - Male citizens of 21 years and upwards where rights to vote is denied on other
grounds than rebellion or other crime.
