This indenture made this second day of December in the Year of our Lord 
Eighteen Hundred and thirty five between Henry Galaway of the state and 
county aforesaid of the one part, Green English of the same state and 
county of the other part, witnesseth that the said Henry Galaway for and 
in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars to 
him in hand paid at or before the sealing of these presence receipt 
thereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and do 
grant bargain and sell unto the said Green English his heirs and assigns 
all that tract or parcel of land known by lot number one hundred and 
sixty eight (168) lying and being in the third district of Monroe 
County. To have and to hold the said bargained premises together with 
all and singular the rights, member and appurtences thereunto belonging 
or in any wise appertaining thereunto to Green English his heirs and 
assigns forever doth forever warrant and defend the rights and titles 
thereof unto the said Green English his heirs and assigns against the 
claim or claims of all persons whosoever by virtue of these presence, In 
witnesseth thereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the 
day and date above written.
