Georgia Monroe County This indenture made and entered into this the twenty fifth day January in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and Thirty Seven by and between Henry Gallaway of the one part and Edward B. Gallaway of the other part both of the county and state aforesaid. (Witnesseth) that the said Henry Gallaway for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the signing, sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Hath sold and conveyed and doth by these presents grant, bargain, sell, release and convey unto the said Edward B. Gallaway all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Monroe and state aforesaid situate in the third district of said county known and distinguished in the plan of said district by lot no. 165, one hundred and sixty five having such form as will appear by a plat of the same containing two hundred and two and one half acres more or less to have and to hold said bargained premises to him the said Edward B. Gallaway as Free and unencumbered property and I the said Henry Gallaway do bind myself, my heirs, my executors, administrators and assigns unto the said Edward B. Gallaway the rights titles together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining against the claim of myself, any heirs and assigns and against the claim or claims of any person or persons that my hereafter arise up against it and behoof forever in fee simple.
