Georgia 	}This Indenture made the thirteenth day of December in the year  
Baldwin County  }of our Lord One Thousand and Eight Hundred twenty one and in 
the forty sixth year of the Independence of the United States of America Between 
Henry Jemison of the County of Monroe of the one part and Jacob Martin of  
Pitman’s District of the County of Gwinnett of the other part Witnesseth that 
the said Jacob Martin for and in consideration of the Sum of Three Hundred & 
fifty Dollars in hand paid at and before the Sealing and delivery of these 
presents the Receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained Sold 
delivered conveyed & confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien 
convey and confirm unto said Henry Jemison his heirs and assigns all that tract 
or parcel of land lying in the 13th District of Monroe county known in the plan 
of said District as number two hundred and ten and Drawn by the aforesaid Jacob 
Martin in the land lottery of the present year.  
To have and to hold the said tract of land with all and singular the rights 
members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said Jacob Martin being 
belonging or in anywise appertaining with the Remainder and Remainders Reversion 
and Reversions Rents Issues and profits thereof to the only proper use benefit 
and behoof of him the Said Henry Jemison his heirs Executors administrators and 
assigns in Fee Simple to the said Jacob Martin his heirs Executors and 
administrators the said bargained lot of land unto the said Henry Jemison, his 
heirs executors administrators and assigns against the said Jacob Martin his 
heirs Executors and administrators and all and every other person or persons 
shall and will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents in witness 
whereof the said Jacob Martin hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal 
the day and year first above written.

Know all by these presents that I Jacob Martin of the County of Gwinnett and 
Pitman’s District & State of Georgia have and in constituting and appointed by 
these presents do make constitute and appoint Tomlinson Fort of the County of 
Baldwin and State aforesaid my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name 
and in my place and stead make unto Henry Jemison of the County of Monroe and 
State aforesaid his heirs or assigns a good and lawful warrantee title for a 
certain lot of land containing Two Hundred two and a half acres known and 
distinguished in the plan of the thirteenth District of Monroe County by lot 
number two hundred and ten the land being drawn by me in the present land 
lottery.  I do hereby certify confirm and allow as fully and effectually as I 
were myself personally present at the making and executing the said rights in 
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Sixteenth November 
Eighteen Hundred and Twenty One.
