Georgia		This indenture made this sixth day of February in the year 
Twiggs Co.	of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Two 
		between Samuel Powell of the County of Houston of the one 
part, and Roger Lawson and William  Deshazo of the county of Twiggs 
aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that the said Samuel Powell for 
and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand 
paid  by the said Roger Lawson and William Deshazo before the sealing 
and ____________________ (can’t make word out) of this property.  the 
reciept whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold by these 
presents, doth bargain, sell and convey unto the said Roger Lawson & 
William Dishazo all that tract or parcel of land being and lying in the 
Twelveth District of Monroe County containing two hundred and two and 
one half acres which is known and distinguished in the place of said 
district by the number thirty four to have and to hold the said lot or 
parcel of land together with all and singular the sight and appearances 
(?) two unto belonging to the said Roger Lawson and William  Deshuzo 
thus being and assigns  for even in few simple (?) of the said Samuel 
Powell for himself  and his heirs and assigns the said lot of land unto 
the said Roger Lawson and William Deshuzo and his heirs Executor, 
Administrators and assigns forever  as aforesaid against himself his 
heirs and ____________(can’t make word out) of any other persons 
whatsoever shall of said warrant & forever defend by these presents as 
witness whereor I have herein to set my hand & seal the day & years above 
written.

Georgia        	Sarah Powell wife of the within  said Samuel Powell  
Twiggs Co.	did this day appear before me & being  providing 
seperately and apart from her husband, examined by  me did declare that 
she freelly voluntarily & without compulsion  greed or fear of 
any ___________(can’t make word out) whatever, renounce, release & for 
ever relinquishing  unto the said Roger Lawson & William Deshuzo  his 
heirs and assigns all her in terest and estate and also all her rights of 
claims of dowr.
