Darter. James was wounded in battle neart Atlanta, Ga on 21st of July; was sent to the hospital at Forsyth,Ga. His wound was doing well, which was very painful one in the side. Finally he was taken with Pneumonia. He lingered under the disease for some time and was forced to surrent to this fatal attack and died on the 21st of August... Bob Neal (a comrade) Sergeant Darter is buried at Forsyth Cemetery in the Confederate section. He was in Co.
