War Of 1812
Samuel Maddox enlisted November 21,1814.Served in Captain John Reid's Co of 
Infantry of Georgia Militia,in Reg't commanded by Colonel Ezekiel Wimberly.From 
residence to rendezvous was 30 milies.Where discharged to residence was 210 
milies.From rendazvous and discharged ,to residence was 240 milies.Travelling 
to and from residence was 16 days.Term of service was 4 months and 3 
days.Contract price of rations 18 cents.Pay per month was 8 dollars.Pay was 32 
dollars,75 cents.Total amount of pay and subsistence was 33 dollars and 11 cents

Samuel Maddox was born 1772 North Carolina,died May 23,1841 
Milledgeville,Hancock Co;Georgia.Samuel married Patsey? 1792.Samuel father 
Samuel maddox Sr was a Revolutionary War soldier.Samuel son Matthew,Mark were 
also in the Civil war.
