The Monroe Advertiser (Forsyth, GA) August 6, 1909
     It will be of much interest to his many friends in Monroe county to learn 
that Dr. Thomas D. Thurmond of Columbus, Ga., will locate in Forsyth, his home 
town, at an early date.
     Dr. Thurmond is a young man of high moral standing and capabilities.  He 
graduated from the Atlanta Dental College with distinction and stands high in 
his profession.
     After his graduation he took Special courses in gold and porcelain inlay 
work and regulation of teeth, under Dr. Thomas P.Hinmon of Atlanta, Ga.
     We welcome Dr. Thurmond in our midst and predict for him much success.  
He will occupy the rooms over the Southern Express Office, which are now being 
nicely fitted up for him.

Additional Comments:
Dr. Thomas Daniel Thurmond was born 26 April 1875, the son of William Harrison 
Thurmond and Sara Catherine (Buff) Thurmond.
