Mr Ard died as result of injuries
The death of Mr. Reuben Ard occured at his home in this city
Monday night as the result of a shock by falling from a moving
train at the depot Sunday morning about five o'clock.

Mr Ard in alighting from the train fell under the wheels of the
car and his left ankle was so badly mashed that amputation was
necessary. He was thought to be doing nicely, but the shock
proved to be to much for him.

The body was taken to Macon Wednesday morning for interment.

Mr. Ard was the youngest of six brothers, two of whom reside in
Forsyth and three in Macon. He is also survived by a small son,
his wife having died some months ago.
