Culloden News-
     Mrs. John W. Lester, a well known Monroe county lady, died at the home of 
her son, Mr. Walter Lester, near Macon, last Wednesday after a short illness 
at the age of 75 years.  Her remains were brought here Thursday evening, where 
funeral services were held by Rev. C. M. Verdel and Rev. E. S. Winn of the 
Methodist church.  Interment was in the [Culloden] city cemetery.  She is 
survived by four sons, Thomas, Lee, Walter and Maurice, and four 
grandchildren, all of Macon; three brothers, J. P., J. T. and B. H. Clements, 
of Culloden; one sister, Mrs. Sallie Wyatt, of Jasper county.  She was a 
consistent member of the Methodist church and her membership was at Rogers 
church, this county.
