S. Bailey, of Smarrs [sic]. Miss Lindsey was born in Butts county, but had resided in Monroe county for the last 50 years or more, and had a large number of friends in this county and throughout the state who will be grieved to learn of her death, which was a shock to her friends, as she was active up until Sunday morning preceding her death, when she suffered a stroke of paralysis, never regaining consciousness. Funeral services were held at Rocky creek church, of which she was a member, Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with Rev. A. Chamlee officiating. Interment was in Rocky Creek cemetery. The following nephews acted as pallbearers: Irbin, S., Fleming, Tom, W. H. and S. J. Bailey, A. B. Vaughn, and Bill Wells. The deceased is survived by one brother, Mr. S. J. Lindsey, of Atlanta, who was at her bedside during her illness and death; one sister, Mrs. T. H. Vaughn, of Monroe county; eight nieces and three nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
