FUNERAL AT CULLODEN FOR MRS. A. MATTHEWS.

Culloden, Ga., July 9-
Funeral services for Mrs. Augusta Matthews, 63, were held here Wednesday at the 
Methodist church, Rev. Raymond Rigdon, of the First Baptist church, Columbus, 
Ga., and Rev. E. P. Eubanks, pastor of the Culloden Methodist church, 
officiating.
Mrs. Matthews died at her home in Washington, D. C., Sunday night and her body 
reached Culloden Thursday.  Before her marriage whe was Miss Augusta Vaughn, of 
Culloden.
She is survived by two daughters, Miss Anna Belle Matthews, of Washington, and 
Miss Mary Pierce Matthews, of New York; one son, Benjamin Matthews, of New 
York, and one sister, Mrs. H. T. Fitspatrick, of Culloden.
Interment was in the Culloden cemetery.
