Mr. Robert Berner Means, 92, of Barnesville, died June 14 at the Heritage Inn Nursing Home. A native of Monroe County, he had made his home in Barnesville for many years. Mr. Means was a World War I Army veteran, and a member of the Pinta Lodge 88 of Masons, the Barnesville Rotary Club, and the Fredonia Congregational Church. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wfie, Mrs. Dee Bush Means of Barnesville; two sisters, Mrs. Homer Sappington of Barnesville and Mrs. Jewell Bankston of Atlanta. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were conducted June 16 in the Fredonia Congregational Church in the Redbone community. Dr. Wesley Martin officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home of Barnesville was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Berner Means was born 13 November 1890 in Monroe (now Lamar) Co., GA, the son of John Thomas Means and Annie America (Thurmond) Means. He m.
