Another one of Monroe county's old land marks and loyal citizens is gone. Such was the life of Mr. Frank L. Roquemore, who died Tuesday night at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. J.M. Allen at Venture, at the age of seventy-five years. He had been ill for some time and his death was not unexpected. He was highly esteems and loved by all who knew him, for he was a kind and noble-hearted man. He was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church and at this place his earthly remains were laid away in the presence of a host of sorrowing friends and relatives, who thus paid their last tribute of love for him. To the bereaved ones we extend with many friends our deep and sincere sympathy. NOTES: Roquemore, Frank L. Co D 8th Reg't, GA Inf. (State Guards) Burial: Holly Grove Cemetery
