Please allow me space in the cloumns of the dear old Advertiser to pay a small tribute of love to my dear friend, Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Watson, who passed to a better land, Oct. 30, 1909, after months of the intenseat suffering few are called on to undergo. It was my priviledge to know Mrs. Watson quite intimately for many years and I speak from the bottom of my heart when I say I never knew a better woman. Although raised amid wealth and affluence with all the advantages of education, she was just a plain sympathetic woman, a friend to all classes, and in return numered her friends by her acquaintance. No one ever heard her speak evil of others. She seemed to tactly avoid all subjects of an unpleasantsnature, and see only good in her fellow-men. She lived her religion daily, and was one of the most active members of Sunshine Church. Although she made her home in Locust Grove for ten years past, she made it a rule to visit her church often as possible. To her children she was perfectly devoted, and it was in her home life, her character showed brightest. Possessing a bright sunny nature, she was a general (?) favorite with young and old alike. No one ever thought of her as being old, for her heart was still young, and her merry laughter was as light as a school-girl's. As a neighbor she was helpful and obliging, and many will miss her pleasant face and kind words. Although her suffering was intense she bore it without a murmur, and we feel sure she has heard the blessed command: "Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the Joys of thy Lord." To the grief stricken family we extend our sincerest sympathy. One who loved her, Nellie Grey. ----------------------------------------------------
