Ah; no, never can we forget those kind acts. I haven't been well for some time, indeed scarcely feel able to write this evening. We all are very grateful to you for the sketch of the graveyard, feel glad to know our dear brother is buried in a village graveyard. Am much oblige to Mr. Sneed for letting us know about the location. We were very anxious to get his little things, especially the journal he kept during the war and his portfolio. Father made a great many "efforts" to get them but all failed. Was the Hospital in cloth tents or wooden? Where do you get your Additional Comments: This letter was found in the personal documents of Dr. A.H. Sneed, my Great, Great Grandfather. During the Civil War there was a hospital camp in the grove on his property next to his home in Forsyth, Monroe County, GA. There is a historial marker in place.
