This is a very old photograph of Thomas Jefferson Gray (husband of Lurany "Lula"
Spicer) and his son William "Willie" Alexander Gray. Thomas was born 26 MAR 1846
in Alabama, the son of Merrell Gray and Minerva Cooper. He migrated to Monroe
County approximately 1865. In 1868 he married Lula Spicer (daughter of Alexander
Spicer and Mary Ann Perdue), and moved to Smarr, Monroe County, GA. On 16 DEC
1867 William Alexander Gray was born. Willie married Pallie Harrison in 1892.
Thomas, Lula, Willie and Pallie are all buried in Bolingboke, Monroe County, GA
in the Gray Cemetery (right across from the old Bolingbroke Mall, near the old
Spicer place)
