Haynes. His Daddy, Charles, had died six months before the birth of John. As a teenager, John Wood Haynes served as a private Company A, 35th Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry. He married Quincey Annie Wofford (1852 - 1934) from Pickens County Georgia on April 28, 1870. They produced 12 known children, including my own Grandmother, Quincey Irene (Haynes) Hummel.
