The Monument in this picture is one of the most Magnificent headstones I have ever seen. The cemetery is in despair and need some attention very badly. The monument is about eight feet tall and leaning. Dr. I. M. H. Carleton S. D. Pleasant Ridge Lodge 103 F and AM Macon County, Ga. Oct 17, 1824 (calculated on age at death) Died February 1851 age 26 yrs., 3 mos. 20 days. In memory of I. M. H. Carlton, MD, SD, died Feb 6, 1851, age 26 yrs., 3 mos. 20 days. A member of Pleasant Ridge Lodge 103 F and AM Macon County, Ga. (drowned in Towaliga). NOTE: told that he was going to see someone and the river was up and he tried to cross on his horse and drowned In 1850 Census - Macon County listed with Dr. Bedford J.
