E. Hamlin. Georgia Monroe County item 1st) I William E. Hamlin of the state and coun ty aforesaid being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament. Item first, I will that my wife Hester Ann Hamlin be supported and maintained during her natural life or widowhood or so long as she may be content to remain and dwell with my son J. D. Hamlin. The above is not to constrict so as to mean board in another family. This bequeath is made to my said wife in lieu of her whole dower. item 2nd) I give bequeath and devise to my son J. D. Hamlin my whole posessions ( except what shall be necessary for the maintenance of my wife) consisting of 202 & 1/2 of land more or less described as per deeds, farming impliments stock of all kind, house hold and kitchen furniture. item 3rd) I hereby constitute and appoint my son J. D. Hamlin executor of this my last will and testament. this 5th day of May 1892 furthermore it is my wish and desire said J. D. Hamlin shall not be required to follow the usuasl course of executor, as taking letters and having appraisers appointed and making returns, but just to act in my room and stead and if after the death of myself and my wife he shall think what remains of my effects is more than enough to renummerate him for his trouble, he may help the others some.
