Monroe County ) I Joseph Moore of the State and County aforesaid being of sound and proper mind and memory, but weak in body thanks be to God for the same. Calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament and by this revoking all others, that is to say, first of all I recommend my soul to God who gave it and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a christian like manner at the descretion of my executors nothing doubting but at the general resurection I shall receive the same again by the power of the almighty God and touching such worldly Estate which it has been pleased God to bless me with in this life. I Give devise and bequeath of the same in the following manner viz. 1st I will and bequeath that all my just debts be first paid. 2nd I will and bequeath unto my beloved wife Agnes Moore all my ready money and notes of hand and my household furniture for the her support during her life or Widowhood (Note by Mary Love Berryman - In the original will which was on file at the Monroe Co Courthouse there is a 3rd item which has been marked through.
