A native of Montgomery County, he was a farmer and a member of the Charlotte Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Charlotte Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Wheeler and the Rev. _____ _____ officiating. Interment was in the Dead River Cemetery with Cooper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were ____ ____, Paul Foskey, ____ Manning, Johnny Cason, Conner Adams, Jimmy Tapley. Honorary pallbearers were Chester Poole, J. D. _____, Joe Martin, Green Thigpen, Wilbur Calhoun, Luther B. Powell, Bob Dykes, and B. Hughes. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ruby Tapley of Adrian; two sons, James Allen Adams of Uvalda and Eugene Adams of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Jim Cason and Mrs. Clyde ____ and Mrs. Mattie Manning, all of Uvalda; one brother, George L.
