                     George M. Coleman Dies From Injuries
 George Marcus Coleman, 32, of Folkston died Sunday in the McCoy-Jackson 
hospital from extensive head and other injuries received in an accident 
Thursday afternoon.
 According to Camden County Sheriff W. E. Smith, the accident occurred about 
3:00 Thursday afternoon. Coleman was traveling west on the Harriett's Bluff 
road about four miles east of Hwy 17. There were no eye witnesses to the 
crash. Officials believe that he lost control of the 1960 Chevrolet pickup 
truck he was driving. The truck overturned several times, throwing Coleman 
clear of the wreckage and traveled some 300 ft. after leaving the highway.
 The truck exploded and burned completely demolishing the vehicle. State 
Highway Patrolman R. W. Cannon investigated the accident.
 A native of Montgomery County, Ga., Mr. Coleman had lived in Folkston 16 
years.
 Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Merlyn Coleman; a son, George Jr. of 
Folkston; his mother, Mrs. G. L. Coleman, Tarrytown; three sisters, Mrs. 
Catherine Barrs, Cadwell, Mrs. Louise Gowen, Folkston, and Miss Joann Coleman, 
Tarrytown; and a brother, L. E. of Tarrytown.
 Funeral services were held Monday in the Folkston First Methodist Church. 
Interment was in Pineview Cemetery with Adkins Morticians in charge of 
arrangements.

George was born 28 Nov 1927 to George Leland Coleman and Vera Mae Burns 
Coleman. Georgia death certificate #21589.
