Mr. Connell 
MOUNT VERNON -Austin Ennis Connell, 51, of Route 1 in Mount Vernon died 
Monday at his residence after a brief illness. Services will be held at 3 
p.m. today in Bear Creek Baptist Church near Mount Vernon. Burial will be in 
the Connell Cemetery near Mount Vernon. The Rev. Arthur Conley will 
officiate. 

Mr. Connell, a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, was a member of Bear 
Creek Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Jean Lamb Connell of Mount Vernon; two 
daughters, Judy Smith of Baxley and Tammy Foskey of Mount Vernon; two sons. 
Freddie Connell and Gregory Connell, both of Mount Vernon; his mother, 
Hattie Fountain Connell of Mount Vernon; three sisters, Eva Coleman and 
Johnnie Thigpen, both of Mount Vernon and Flo Azar of Macon; a brother, R.B. 
Connell of Mount Vernon; and a grandchild. 

Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia has charge of arrangements.
