(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net March 21, 2009, 2:08 pm The Montgomery Monitor 4-2-1980 Page 5 Quinton Davis Quinton Davis, 62, of the Charlotte Community died Friday at the Jeff Davis County Hospital after a short illness. He was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and had retired from the Georgia State Department of Transportation. He was a past master of the Milliken Creek Masonic Lodge No. 302 and a member of the Charlotte United Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, teacher of the Adult Bible Class, and song leader. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elise Foskey Davis of Charlotte; two sons, James E. Davis and John Larry Davis; grandchildren, John Alexander and Melanie Davis, all of Charlotte; two sisters, Mrs. Duncan M. McAllister and Mrs. George T. Adams, both of Savannah; a brother, Gene Davis of Charlotte. Mr. Davis not only served his church well but loved his community just as much. He planned and executed many "Home Coming's" for July 4th which everyone far and near came to enjoy. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 30, at 3PM at the Charlotte United Methodist Church, with burial with Masonic rites in the Moseley Cemetery. Ronnie L. Stewart Home of Vidalia was in charge.
