                             Rufus Foskey
 Mr. Rufus Foskey, age 76, of Route 1, Uvalda, died Thursday afternoon in the 
Meadows Memorial Hospital of Vidalia after a brief illness. A lifelong 
resident of Montgomery County, he was a retired farmer. Mr. Foskey was a Mason 
and a member of the Charlotte United Methodist Church. He is survived by: his 
wife, Mrs. Clyde Adams Foskey of Uvalda; three daughters, Mrs. Elise Davis of 
Uvalda, Mrs. Janelle Williams of Jackson, Michigan, and Mrs. Reba Yawn of 
Hazelhurst; four sons, Kendall Foskey of Vidalia, Paul Foskey, Hollis Foskey, 
and Hugh Foskey, all of Vidalia; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Dickerson of Savannah; 
two brothers, Herbert Foskey of Savannah and Emory Foskey of Vidalia; 15 
grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also 
survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Foskey were held Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock 
from the Charlotte United Methodist Church with Rev. Luther A. Porter and Rev. 
J. David Aycock Sr. officiating.
 Interment was in the Dead River Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Rickey 
Foskey, Judd Williams, Rodney Yawn, Charlie Thompson, Bill Rollins, Mac 
Hamilton Jr. and Larry Davis.
 Honorary pallbearers will be: Joe Brown Pollett, Nickey Crowe, Gene Davis, 
Clinton Yawn, Green Thigpen, Jim A. McArthur, Darwin Mincey, J. D. Williams, 
Chester Poole, Don Currie, W. M. Burke, and John Downie.
 Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge of the arrangements.

Additional Comments:
He was born 5-5-1903. His parents were John Robert Foskey and Mary Etta Davis 
Foskey.
