                       Bertha Clyde Foskey
 Mrs. Bertha Clyde Foskey, 92, of Uvalda, died late Tuesday afternoon, April 
22nd, in the Bethany Home of Vidalia after an extended illness.
 Mrs. Foskey was a native and lifelong resident of Montgomery County. She was 
a homemaker and a member of the Charlotte United Methodist Church near Uvalda. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus L. Foskey in 1981 and a son, 
Kendall G. Foskey in January of 1997.
 Survivors include three sons, Paul Foskey, Hollis Foskey, and Hugh Foskey,all 
of Uvalda; three daughters, Elise Davis of Uvalda, Janelle Williams of Buford, 
and Reba Yawn of Orlando, Fla; one sister, Mattie Manning of Uvalda; 14 
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon, April 25th at 4:00 from the 
Charlotte United Methodist Church near Uvalda with Rev. David Aycock, Rev. 
Joey Holloway, and Rev. Mike Hutcheson officiating. Interment followed at the 
Dead River Cemetery near Uvalda.
 Ronnie L. Stewart and Son Funeral Service of Vidalia was in charge of 
arrangements.
 

Additional Comments:
She was born 12-19-1904. Her parents were John Wiley Adams and Lucy Denton 
Adams.
