                         Bill M. Fulford Sr.
 Bill M. Fulford Sr., age 57, of Hwy 292 West, Vidalia, died Wednesday 
afternoon at his residence after a long illness. Bill was a lifelong resident 
of Toombs County. He was a former Toombs County Deputy Sheriff and Lyons City 
policeman and was also a policeman for the city of Macon for a short while. 
Bill was a Baptist.
 Bill is survived by his wife, Mrs. Wonnell Fulford of Vidalia; two sons, Bill 
M. Fulford Jr. and Tony Fulford, both of Dublin; two daughters, Mrs. Peggy 
Williamson of Ailey and Mrs. Bibbie Barwick of Dublin; two step-daughters, 
Mrs. Gennelle Dorsey and Mrs. Deneice Foskey, both of Soperton; six brothers, 
Lamar Fulford of Gray, Dewitt Fulford of Alston, Thurston Fulford of Lyons, 
and Wille Frank Smith of Milledgeville; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtice Beasley of 
Gray and Mrs. Carolyn F. O'Neal of Lyons; eight grandchildren; several nieces 
and nephews.
 Funeral services for Mr. Bill M. Fulford were held Friday afternoon, May 22, 
1992 at 3:00 from the Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia with 
Rev. Phil Wallace and Rev. Henry Dowd officiating. Interment was in the Walker 
Cemetery near Alston.
 Pallbearers were: Terrell Fulford, Franklin Smith, Larry Fulford, Bobby 
O'Neal, Ricky Smith, Cecil Powell and Allen Brantley.
 Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service of Vidalia was in charge of the funeral 
arrangements.
 
 

Additional Comments:
He was born 11-21-1934. His parents were Henry Samuel "Hicks" Fulford Sr. and 
Frankie Foskey Fulford.
