Gowen, died Friday, November 29 Louise Coleman Gowen, 55, of Folkston died Friday at a Jacksonville hospital after a brief illness. The Montgomery County, Georgia native had lived most of her adult life in Folkston and was the widow of the late Clifton C. Gowen of Folkston. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Folkston. Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Gaught of Brunswick, Georgia; a son, Jerry of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters, Joann Claxton of Soperton, Ga. and Catherine Barrs of Dexter, Georgia; and a grandchild. Services were held at 1:30pm Sunday at First United Methodist Church, Folkston with burial following in Pineview Cemetery, Folkston. Adkins-Shepard Morticians of Folkston were in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Louise was born 20 Apr 1930 to George Leland Coleman and Vera Mae Burns Coleman.
