All that human hands could do was done for her but to no avail. The angels took her to her eternal home. Monnie was nearly 25 years old, born near Tarrytown, Montgomery County, Oct. 31, 1899. She leaves a devoted usband, W. A. Manning, a little son, W. A. Jr., a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Coleman, two sisters, Mrs. Lester Canady and Mrs. Horace Goff, one brother, Leland Coleman, besides a host of friends and relatives to mourn her departure. She was laid to rest in the Tarrytown Cemetery, Rev. T. E. Sikes of Vidalia conducting the funeral services. And while we are left to mourn her departure, she is peacefully resting in the arms of our Divine Saviour. It is so sad to give her up, but for the sweet hope of meeting her again, we could not bear it. If we could only draw aside the dark veil and see her as she is, we would not mourn, as we do not wish her back in this vile world of sin, but have a sweeter desire to that eternal home in the Heavens not made with hands, now enjoyed by her. May we all be resigned to God, who doeth all things well, knowing that some day the silver cord will break and I no more as now shall sing; but oh the joy when we shall wake within the palace of our King. Someday my earthly house shall fall; I know not how soon it will be. But this I know when I shall wake within the palace of my King. Yes, I shall see him face to face and tell the sweet story saved by grace. And I shall see her face to face and be with her forevermore. May God bless us to bear our burdens and live nearer to him each day and night. This is our prayer. Her Sisters, Mrs. Lester Canady Mrs. Horace Goff Additional Comments: Monnie parents were George Washington Coleman and Joanna Tyson Coleman. Georgia death certificate #28112-F.
