Will of L.M. Chambers 29 Apr 1930 Montgomery County, GA Montgomery County, Georgia Last Will and Testament of L.M. Chambers I, L.M. Chambers, of said State and County, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking and annuling all others, by me heretofore made. Item One I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian-like manner, suitable to my circumstances and conditions in life. Item Two I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without unnecessary delay, by my executors hereinafter named and appointed. Item Three I desire and direct that all my life insurance be collected at once by my executors hereinafter named, and hold the same for the uses hereafter mentioned. Item Four I desire and direct that my executors hereinafter named, shall proceed to sell all my personal property at private or public sale as they may deem best, and at the same time they deem best. Also to collect all accounts and notes and all other amounts that is owing to me, and hold the same for the uses hereafter mentioned. Item Five I desire and direct my executors hereinafter named, that after all my personel property have been sold and all that is oweing me have been collected and all life insurance collected, that my executors hereinafter named shall pay all debts that I am oweing except the debts that is secured by real estate and the balance of the money on hand to be used as hereafter mentioned. Item Six I give, bequeath to my faithful wife Martha, $200.00 in money. Item Seven I give, bequeath to my daughter Viola Braddox $200.00 in money. Item Eight I give, bequeath to my daughter Dolly Jane Holmes $200.00 in money. Item Nine I give, bequeath to my daughter Julia Bell White, $200.00 in money. Item Nine I give, bequeath to my daughter Ella Jane Chambers $200.00 in money. Item Ten I give, bequeath to my daughter Susie Mae Chambers $200.00 in money. Item Eleven I desire and direct that my executors hereinafter named shall pay all my debts and the amounts give to my wife and daughters and that the balance of money left on hand to be paid to parties holding mortgages or deeds to secure debt against my real estate, two-thirds of this balance to be paid on mortgages against the Moss tract of land, and the other One-third to be paid on mortgages against the home tract of land. Item Twelve I give, bequeath to my son C.C. Chambers 20 acres land on the east side of the Mary J. Moss tract of land. Item Thirteen I give, bequeath to my son J.A. Chambers, 20 acres land on the South side of the Mary J. Moss tract of land. Item Fourteen I give, bequeath to my son H.M. Chambers 20 acres land on the West side of the Mary J. Moss tract of land. Item Fifteen I give, bequeath to my son W.J. Chambers 15 acres land known as the Mary J. Moss tract of land. Item Sixteen I give, bequeath to my sons J.R. Chambers and Lewis Jr. share and share alike 60 acres land known as the home place. Page 1 Item Seventeen I desire and direct that the balance due on property mentioned in items twelve, thirteen and fourteen and fifteen be equally paid by C.C. Chambers, J.A. Chambers and H.M. Chambers and W.J. Chambers. Item Eighteen I desire and direct that the balance due on property mentioned in item sixteen be equally paid by J.R. Chambers and Lewis Jr. Chambers. Item Nineteen I desire and direct that if after paying all my debts and mortgages on real estate that if there should be a balance in money left that my executors hereinafter named shall equally this balance between all my heirs share and share alike. Item Twenty I hereby constitute and appoint my son H.M. Chambers, A.C. Moseley and W.H. Dixon, the sole executors of this my last will and testament and I expressly confer upon them power, as such, to administer my estate, excusing them from giving any bonds, or making any returns to the ordinary.
