Martha Stokes was born February 28th 1777 and died May 30th 1846 - being 69 years 2 months and 28 days old. Augustus Henry Stokes was born July 28th 1802 and died in Atlanta October 21st 1859 in the 56 year of his age. William Charles Young Stokes was born on Monday the 7th day of May 1821 and departed this life on Sunday Morning at 26 minutes after one o^Òclock AM on the 10th day of July 1853 - being 32 years 2 months and 3 days old. William Young Stokes Junior son of William Y and Mary J Stokes was born November 11th 1852 and died March 4th 1854 - being 1 year 3 months and 21 days old. James W. McHenry born 28th September 1852 and died 28th of February 1854 being 1 year and 5 months old William S. Stokes died August 8, 1879 Thomas Stokes Archibald Stokes Augustus Stokes ----- Stokes William Sanders Stokes was born March 6th 1798 and died August 8th 1870 Eliza Stokes his wife was born December 6, 1800 and was killed instantly by falling down the steps at Eden Museum in New York City on July 3, 1888 William S. Stokes and Eliza Smith were married on Wednesday 19th July 1820 William S. Stokes united himself with the Baptist Church at Sugar Creek Morgan Co, Georgia and was Baptised October 25th 1831. Judge Wm. Sanders Stokes mother died --- was Miss --- Lamar of Beach Island, Edgefield Dist., S. C. Thomas Lamar came from Maryland 10 years before Revolution. Had 5 sons. James settled in N. C. Alex and John in Georgia near Steels Creek. Thomas and Robert in Edgefield, S. C. Thomas Pinckard Sr. Capt in Revolution, was father of Thomas Pinckard, Jr. who was father of Jane Pinckard, wife of Charles Smith. Peyton Randolph Smith of Virginia was father of Charles Smith who married Jane Pinckard - Their daughter Eliza Smith was wife of Judge William Sanders Stokes married July 19, 1820 John Grieve of Edinburgh, Kinlock and Forres Scotland married Miss Marion Miller daughter of Daniel Miller of Edinburgh. Issue - John Grieve Jr. died single. Marion Grier married James Hall McHenry, he was partner in Andrew Lowe & Co in Savannah, Georgia. Both died and buried in Lexington, Georgia in granite wall plot near Gov. Gilmer home. 3 children: James Hall McHenry M. Sarah Poullain Dau of Dr. Poullian of Greensboro, Georgia Marion & Noel McHenry. Marion married John B. Moc** Noel Moore M Miss Chaffee John G. McHenry M. Miss Harriott C. S. Stokes D Judge William S. Stokes, Madison, C. Wm. S. McHenry M Miss Mamie Brown, Madison, Georgia. John Grieve McHenry married Miss Zoe E. Blackshear (grand daughter Dr. Richard Banks of Gainesville, Ga) C. Zoe Harriott and Marion Louise McHenry. Louise M. Daniel Hicky (New Orleans) Dec. 19, 1916 C.
