Ralph Harris and wife Agnes, and Graves Harris and wife Elizabeth sold land that William Harris had paid taxes on untill his death. Graves and Ralph paid the taxes on the land untill they sold it. We have found no deed so William must have given them the land before he died. Ralph Harris married Mary McCaul 1785 in Louisa Va. One child from this union--Williamson Harris (1787 Va.-- 1875 Ms.). William Harris fought in the war of 1812, William and Graves Harris furnished supplies for the army of Revolution War. In 1870 Ralph Harris married Agnes Baldwin in Prince Edward ,Va. She was the daughter of John and Susannah Peak Baldwin of Prince Edward,Va.All of Ralph and Agnes Harris children were born in Va.except Charles B. ( 1808) born in Morgan County, Gg. Ralph Harris bought land in Baldwin County, Ga. in 1807 on Beaver Creek and land on Sandy Creek. this land was cut of as Morgan County,Ga in 1808.Ralph also bought land in Morgan County in 1808 and 1810. Ralph and Agness Baldwin Harris children were: Judith (1791 Va-1866 Ga.) married Thomas Baldwin Burford.They lived in Butts County,Ga. Samuel T.Harris (1793-1867 AR) married Sarah Noland; by 1849 they were in Columbia County,AR. Samuel was a preacher as well as a farmer MD/2 Sarah Keith in AR. Susannah Harris (1798Va-1858 Ga.) married Catlett Campbell. They lived in Meriwether County,Ga John Ralph (1791 Va. 1863 Ga) married Elizabeth Ammons. They lived in Meriwether County,Ga. John Ralph bought some of the first land sold in Meriwether County,Ga. Charles B.Harris (1808 Ga.) married 1 Elizabeth Allen,2 Maria Harris. Lived in Morgan County.Ga. Ralph Harris died in Morgan County,Ga.in 1815. In his will ihe names his son Williamson Harris and says he has taken care of Williamson Harris. He left the other children each 1 Slave, I/2 dozen "puter " plates, 1 dish, 1"bason" 1 pot, 1/2 doz knives and forks, feather bed and furniture, Susannah, John Ralph, and Charles also got a horse,bridle and saddle.( Submitted by Nina Kelly Young) Ralph left wife Agness one slave to do with as she chose and the balance of his estate to be divided among his children at her death. Agnes Harris died in Morgan Count,GA 1830 and estate divided among the children. Agnes Harris was also on the 1827 Land Lottery as a widow. More information on Charles B. Harris, Charles Baldwin Harris was born 1808 in Morgan County, his full name found on his Confederate papers ,Charles Baldwin Harris died at Spottsylvania C.H. on May14, 1864 at age 56.
