WALTON CEMETERY

3 miles east of Godfrey, near Peter Walton’s Mill


Sacred to the memory of Peter Wyche Walton who was born in Greenville 
County, Virginia, February 6, 1792 and departed this life March 24, 1847, 
aged 55 years, 1 month and 18 days.

Sacred to the memory of Tilitha Walton, wife of Peter W. Walton and 
daughter of John & Elizabeth Burney. She was born on the 15th of October 
1807 and died on the 27th of February 1831 in the 24th year of her life. 
She had been for several years previous to her death an acceptable member 
of the Baptist Church and her friends have good reason to hope that their 
loss resulted in her Eternal Gain.

In memory of Georgiana Walton, daughter of Peter W. & Mary F. Walton, 
who was born December 7, 1833 and departed this life August 24, 1835.

In memory of Isaac Rowe Walton, son of Peter W. & Mary F. Walton who 
was born November 3, 1842 and departed this life October 14, 1843.

Sacred to memory-(three infants on one slab) [can’t read].
