Harper Johnson Clhjohnson@aol.com Morgan County} State of Georgia} This indenture made and entered into this seventeenth day of September in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and eight between Wrin Benton of the County of Chatham for himself & also his attorney in fact for Abel Benton and Mary Benton his wife formerly Mary Ballord all of the same place of the one part and William Talbot of the above county of Morgan of the other part witnefseth that the said Wrin Benton for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars to him in hand well and truly paid by the said William Talbot the receipt of which is hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain, sell and convey unto the said William Talbot his heirs and afsigns forever one hundred and thirty three and a half acres of land being so much of a lot of land drawn by Mathew Bailor of Neils Diftrict in the aforesaid County of Chatham know by number two hundred and fifty six in the twentieth diftrict of Baldwin now Morgan County on land creek all of which will more fully appear by having reference to a plat and grant of the same to have and to hold the said quantity of one hundred and thirty three and half acres as aforesaid with all and fingular the rights and privileges thereupon in any ____ appertaining and the said Wrin Benton for himself also also a attorney as above doth promise to warrant the same in ____ & to him the said William Talbor his heirs & afsigns against him the said Wrin Benton his heirs also against the claim or claims of all person or persons whatsoever.
