All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Katherine Danner kdsoccer43@aol.com December 19, 2005, 2:37 am Lot 85/ District 19 Written: September 7, 1816 Recorded: April 29, 1817 State of Georgia Morgan County This Indenture made this Seventh day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred Sixteen Between Elijah Martin and Charles Pate of the County of Morgan & State aforesaid of the one part and James Hitchcock of the County & State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Elijah Martin & Charles Pate, Deacons of the Baptist Church at little river for and in Consideration of the sum of twelve dollars to them in hand paid by the said James Hitchcock at or before the Sealing or delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is truly acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold and delivered, and by these presents do hereby grant, bargain, sell and deliver unto the said James Hitchcock a tract or parcel of land situate lying and being on the North East side of little river in Morgan County Containing one square acre of land it being part of lot No. eighty five in the nineteenth district formerly Baldwin now Morgan County together with all and Singular the privileges or claims that you held on said Lot No. 85 by virtue of a deed given to them the said Thomas Yarborough & Charles Pate then deacons by Phillip Zimmerman to said parcel of land being one square acre we Elijah Martin and Charles Pate deacons and our Successors in office do hereby grant all further claims, titles or privileges on to or against said tract or Lot of land number eighty five and we Elijah Martin and Charles Pate deacons do hereby warrant and forever assign the right and title of the aforesaid one square acre of land it being part of Lot No. 85 together with all and Singular the rights and appurtenances that are in any way thereunto belonging to James Hitchcock his heirs or assign forever in fee Simple.
