Georgia Morgan County This Indenture made and entered unto this fifteenth day of
January in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Twenty Five 
Between William Collier of the County and state aforesaid of the first part and
Martin P. Sparks of the county and State aforesaid of the other part  
Witnesseth that the said William Collier for the better securing the sum of
money Contained in these promissory notes given by the said William Collier to
the said Martin P. Sparks having equal date with these presents for the sum of
one hundred and ninety Dollars and twenty five cents  One of said notes due one
day after the date thereof for the sum of Twenty Dollars one other of said notes
due the twenty first day of Jany 1825 for the sum of thirty five Dollars and
twenty five Cents and the other of said notes due the twenty fifth day of
December Eighteen hundred and Twenty five for the sum of One hundred  and thirty
five Dollars and making in all the aforesaid sum of One hundred and ninety
Dollars and twenty five Cents and for the further sum of Five Dollars to the
said William Collier in hand paid by the said Martin P Sparks at and before the
sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt in hand the said William
Collier doth hereby acknowledge hath bargained and sold and by these presents
doth bargain sell and convey unto the said Martin P. Sparks his heirs all tract
parcel or part of lot of Land situate in the County of Morgan but Baldwin County
at time of survey & Granted and Known in the plan of the twentieth District of
Baldwin County aforesaid by part of Lot number Three Hundred & thirteen on the
Waters of Beaver dam Creek adjoining lands David Love Jeremiah Baugus & the
other part of said Lot Three hundred and thirteen now by Adkinson containing
Sixty Five Acres more or less and being whereon the said William Collier now
lives also one piebald Cow and Calf thirteen Hogs and two feather beds bedsteads
and furniture .   To have and to hold the above bargained premises together with
all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging and
any uses appertaining to the premises aforesaid unto the said Martin P. Sparks
his heirs and assigns and to him and their own proper use and benefit and behoof
forever in fee simple and the said William Collier will and do by these presents
warrant and forever defend the title of the aforesaid land of unto the said
Martin P. Sparks his heirs of and from the Claim of myself my heirs & from the
Claim of and every other person or persons whatsoever provided now unless that
if the said William Collier his heirs Executors & Administrators shall and do
will and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Martin P. Sparks his heirs
and assigns the aforementioned sum of One hundred and ninety Dollars and twenty
five Cents on the days and terms  mentioned  and appointed for the payment
thereof for the said Promissory Notes Mentioned with Careful Interest for the
same according to the terms of the said Notes then and from thenceforth as will
the present Indenture and the right to the Property thereby conveyed as the said
Promissory Notes shall cease determine and being to all Intents and purposes in
testimony whereof the said William Collier have hereunto set my hand and affixed
my seal the day and year first written
