Of the County of Walton and State aforesaid of theone part and Samuel P. Dennis of the County of Morgan and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnefseth that the said Benjamin Canifax Sr. for and of the sum of one hundred and forty two dollars to him in hand paid by the said Samuel P. Dennis at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted sold aliened conveyed & confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said Samuel P. Dennis all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of originally Baldwin but now Morgan County and known & distinguished by part of lot No. 8 in the nineteenth district it being that part in the north east corner bounded as follows, beginning at the north east corner at a light wood stake & running due south west on the old line adjoining the land of Samuel P. Dennis' half way to Farrows corner thence a direct line with Farrows land to a spring branch within ten rod of the centie(?) of said lot thence up the meanderings of said branch except the use of B. Canifax Jrs. Spring to a pine corner adjoining the lands of Thomas Bloodworth thence and the original line to the beginning corner containing forty acres and seventy five rod. To have and to hold the said tract of parcel of land unto the said Samuel P. Dennis his heirs and afsigns together with all and singular the rights members & appurtenances thereof to the same in any wise belonging or appertaining to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the said Benjamin Canifax Sr. doth by these presents for himself his heirs, executors, administrators & afsigns the said bargained promises unto the said Samuel P. Dennis his heirs & afsigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves & against the claims of all other persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof I the said Benjamin Canifax Sr. hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date before written.
