Witnefseth that the said William Edminson hath this day made & delivered to the said Henry King his promisory note subscribed subscribed with his hand & ____ even date with these presents do hereby the said Edminson hath promised to pay the said King or bearer Seven hundred dollars on or before the first day of March eighteen hundred and twenty two. I promise to pay Henry King two hundred Dollars & also I promise to pay Henry King or bearer two hundred & fifty dollars by the twenty fifth day of Dec 1822 & one note I promise to pay unto Henry King or bearer two hundred & fifty dollars by the twenty fifth of Dec 1823 now whereof for value received now is recorded ration of seven hundred dollars by the Henry King to the said Edminson in hand paid the accept whereof as well of is the better ____ of the promisary notes aforesaid the said William Edminson the said William Edminson hath granted bargained & sold saith by these presents grant bargain & sell unto the said H. King his heirs afsigns for certain tract of land lying & being on Sugar Creek by the number of 268 containing one hundred acres more or lefs To have & to hold said bargained premises to the said Henry King his heirs & afsigns to his & their own proper use & benefit behoof forever & the said William Edminson for himself his executors & administrators the said bargained premises unto the said Henry King will warrant & forever defend against the claim of himself his heirs & against the claims of all others whatsoever provided I ____ that if the said William Edminson his heirs executors & administrators shall & as well & truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Henry King his heirs & afsigns the aforementioned sum of seven hundred dollars on the day & time mentioned & appointed for the payment therof in the said promisary notes mentioned with lawful interest for the same according to the terms of said notes therefore since forth as well this present I ____ the right of ____ thereof conveyed as the said promisary note shall cease to be void to all intents & purposes In testimony whereof the said William Edminson hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day & year above written Attest William Edminson William Young Needham Abrea D Lanier JP Recorded 17 January 1823 John A Nisbet clk
