This indenture made the first day of October in the Year of our Lord 
one thousand eight hundred and eight and in the thirty third year of 
the Independence of the United States of America between Jofeph King of 
the County of Jefferson of the one part and James Fielder of the County 
of Morgan & State aforesaid of the other part.  Witnesfeth that the 
said Jofeph King for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred 
dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing & delivery of 
these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted 
bargained and sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do 
grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said James Fielder his 
heirs and afsigns two hundred and two and one half acres be the same 
more of lefs and known and diftinguished in the plan for the aforesaid 
diftrict by the number forty eight which said lot of land was drawn by 
Samuel Bigham in the land lottery established by an act of the 
Legislature passed the twenty ninth day of June eighteen hundred six 
and hath been granted to him on the twenty eighth day of November in 
the year eighteen hundred and seven as by refferance to record of land 
state will more fully appear to have and to hold the said tract or lot 
of land with all and singular the rights members and appertenances 
thereof whatsoever to the said tract or lot of land being or belonging 
or in any wise appertaining with the remainder and remainders, 
reversion & reversions rents, ifsues proffits thereof to the only 
proper use benefit and behoof of him the said James Fielder, his heirs 
executors, administrators and afsigns in fee simple and the said Jofeph 
King himself his heirs, executors, administrators, the land bargained 
tract or lot of land unto the said James Fielder, his heirs, executors, 
administrators and afsigns against him the said Jofeph King his heirs, 
executors and administrators and all and every other person or persons 
shall and will warrant & forever defend by virtue of these presents.

In witnefs whereof the said Jofeph King hath hereunto set his hand and 
affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
